Located in Lakeside, Amity Coffee has been our go-to since we moved from Minneapolis to Duluth in 2015. In addition to serving locally brewed coffee and tea, this cozy spot is home to some of the best homemade baked goods in town, like savory breakfast scones, pumpkin bread, and almond croissants.  

2. Cedar Coffee Company

Nestled in the forest of Two Harbors, Cedar Coffee is the perfect place to grab a cup of coffee to go or sip and stay awhile—featuring a pet-friendly outdoor patio surrounded by six acres of beautiful cedar groves. And if biking is your cup of tea, you’ll love the bike shop that’s conveniently located next door.

3. Dovetail Cafe

You can find Dovetail Cafe in the heart of the Lincoln Park neighborhood, sharing the space with Duluth Folk School and Almanac Coffee Roasters. In addition to serving coffee, beer, and delicious food, Dovetail Cafe is also home to a charming environment with a marketplace, classes, and fun events.

4. Duluth Coffee Company

With a mission to source, roast, and craft coffee with integrity and intentionality, Duluth Coffee Company is a roastery and coffee shop in one, located in the heart of Downtown Duluth. They also have a kitchen next door that serves great farm-to-table food—perfect to kickstart or break up any day. 

5. Yellow Bike Coffee 

Yellow Bike Coffee isn’t just about brewing great coffee. They’re also about fueling a greater impact. Their commitment to community and sustainability is as inspiring as their Hero Roasts. So, whether you grab a latte to go or stay awhile, you can make a meaningful difference one cup at a time.

With a dedication to fostering community and a mantra that embraces life’s imperfections while ensuring perfection in your coffee (and tea), it’s no wonder 190 Coffee & Tea is one of our favorite destinations for fueling creativity, collaboration, and our craving for coffee. 

7. Dream Cloud Coffee Roasters

Inspired by a dreamlike cloudscape, Dream Cloud Coffee Roasters offers an ambiance that’s as inspirational and whimsy as its selection of house-crafted coffee and loose-leaf-tea—served in handmade ceramic mugs by none other than the founders, dreamers, and owners, Emily and Charlie.

8. Perk Place Coffeehouse

If you love pastries as much as coffee, Perk Place Coffeehouse is the perfect pick-me-up for you—complete with ample parking, plenty of space to spread out and get some work done, and a welcoming environment that’s located near the University of Minnesota and The College of St. Scholastica.
